This is the best drunk dial EVER!

Happy Hump Day one and all! Today's theme: LTD'ing (that's living-the-dream for all my normal  non-acronym friends out there)! My apologies for going off the map these last few days. My new-found freedom of the long and seemingly endless days of working for the man a.k.a Fuse has finally come to an end, and I am free to celebrate the small and wonderful things in life like sleeping in, stretching with pug, roaming the city streets, hanging out in my favorite Israeli cafe where they are never nice but the coffee is oh-so delicious, all the while contemplating the very meaning of life! Believe me, Ive been taking full advantage and wouldn't change a thing! I'm also happy to announce that I will be adding/changing certain elements of EU blogging brand, including uploading more photos as my adventures continue as well as some free flow writing! Oh the joys of funemployment, I don't want to waste another second! Ole!

First of all, to all my fellow 80's lady babies, particularly the girls like me who grew up reading Francine Pascal's Sweet Valley High series, you'll be happy to know, that after all these years the saga continues with the girls all grown up! That's right, Jessica and Elizabeth Wakefield are back in action, this time in a torrid love triangle featuring the dreamy Todd Wilkins, who if he's anything like I imagined, grew up and into his perfectly chizzled body, most likely playing lacrosse or rugby, and after accepting a full ride from Yale and graduating magna-cum-laude is now working as an Investment Banker for Credit Suisse in New York City. Mmm, getting a visual? Sweet Valley Confidential here I come!Come on, you know you want to.

Happy Friday everyone and more importantly, Happy Purim! I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived to work this morning to find a red-velvet lined cape, kings hat and scepter (amongst many other treats and trinkets,) compliments of a co-worker who is currently in the process of moving out of his apartment, and knew that I above anyone else would appreciate the gifts. Little did he (or a vast majority of my co-workers for that matter) realize that this weekend marks the Jewish holiday Purim! In layman's terms, Purim can best be described as the Jewish version of Halloween, where children and adults alike can dress up, replacing candy corn with hamantaschen and wine with Manischevitz (or any other kosher wine). I have many fond memories from my upbringing in Jewish day school of day-long Purim activities. All the girls would dress up as Queen Vashti or if you were a good girl-Esther and the boys dressed up as Mordecai or if they wanted to be a rebel King Hamen (boooo). While Purim is perhaps the most joyous and fun holiday in the Jewish calendar, it also holds a great amount of significance, commemorating a time when the Jewish people living in Persia were saved from extermination.The story of Purim, is told in the Boook Of Esther, a young Jewish woman living in Persia with Mordecai, who acted as her father figure. One day, after being bored of his wife Queen Vashti, Esther was taken against her will to join the King of Persia's harem. The king fell in love with the beautiful Esther and immediately made her queen, unbeknown to the king, was the fact that Esther was a Jew. This is where Haman comes in. Haman, was the kings evil adviser (think Jafar to the king in Aladdin) who made fats enemies with Mordecai who refused to bow down to him. From there on out, Haman was determined to exterminate all the Jews of Persia, starting with Mordecai and Queen Esther. Haman's plan foiled quickly, after Esther plead her case (and batted those beautiful eyelashes) at the king who in a change of heart saved the Jewish people and killed Haman and his ten sons instead.

Happy St Patty's party people! Coming in to work this a.m was a real treat, as the hundreds upon thousands of kids mostly from Long Island and New Jersey were already visibly intoxicated and over populating the already polluted subway system with their beer funnels, green beads and over compensating personalities. Inside voices! And just because its st patty's doesn't give you the right to eat that shit in the subway! Gross. Case in point see video below. Have I turned into the St Pattys grinch?
