Friday November 5th, 2010

18 months after the tragic death of Michael Jackson, fans will be able to celebrate this holiday season with new music from the King of Pop.  Yesterday a press release announced a December 14 release date for “Michael,” a collection of newly-completed recordings that mark the first album of new MJ material since 2001’s “Invincible.”  “Breaking News,” a never-before-heard track he recorded in 2007, will be available to stream on his website for one week starting Monday.

While Lil Wayne is enjoying his freedom from prison, T.I. has been posting messages on his website about his return to jail.  T.I. agreed with critics who questioned his behavior, but then defended his actions, saying “If I never went to prison, never did drugs, never f'ed up again, did everything right and never made great music ... would you even care enough to comment on T.I.?  Doubt it.”  The rapper also announced details of his upcoming album: he’s changed the name from “King Uncaged” to “No Mercy,” it features collaborations with Eminem, Chris Brown, and Christina Aguilera, and it hits stores on December 7.
