Tuesday November 2nd, 2010

On Monday T.I. turned himself in to authorities to begin an 11-month prison sentence after violating the terms of his supervised-release probation.  The rapper will serve his time in Arkansas at Forrest City, the same low-security facility in which he served a 9-month prison sentence last year.

20 years after “U Can’t Touch This,” MC Hammer is back in the spotlight thanks to a diss track of Jay-Z.  The quote-unquote “feud” began in September after Jay referenced Hammer’s financial troubles in the Kanye West song “So Appalled.”  Hammer responded yesterday by releasing a video for “Better Run Run,” which contains some harsh words for Hova. You can check out the vid here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XFtQML2O5B0 and check out his hater-aid below.

"Yo Jay, I got a Reasonable Doubt"
"If I knocked on your door would you come on out"
"If I knocked on your door that mean I’m knocking you out"
"If I knocked on your door boy, I’ll buss ya in ya mouth)"

Not surprisingly, Jay has yet to respond to the track.
Several new releases hit stores today.  N.E.R.D. drop “Nothing,” featuring the hit collabo with Nelly Furtado, “Hot-n-Fun.”  Just two months after releasing “Hurley,” Weezer puts out a collection of unreleased songs called “Death to False Metal.”  Mariah Carey, who finally confirmed those pregnancy rumors last week, releases “”Merry Christmas II You,” an album of holiday classics and four original songs.
