As promised, a full review is in order for last Friday nights festivities at the American Museum of Natural History's monthly One Step Beyond party. This month, featured the musical stylings of Brooklyn indir-rock power duo Matt & Kim. The AMNH's gorgeous Rose Center is indeed a beautiful while cavernous place to throw a party, and party is exactly what the throngs of alcohol fueled revelers did.

In music news this weekend, a hacker took over Lil Wayne's Twitter account on Sunday, posting dozens of messages for the rapper's 1.2 million followers.  Many of the Tweets were directed at other MCs, including Fat Joe and The Game; one aimed at Soulja Boy said "I sent a donations to your paypal, check it, I heard you got 13,000 sales lil homie, i feel bad for you!"  While Weezy hasn't officially addressed the situation, he did shut down his account and start a new one - he now Tweets by the handle @LilTunechi_YM.

Last week Gucci Mane caused a stir by revealing a peculiar new tattoo on his right cheek: a 3-scoop ice-cream cone with the word "brr."  Over the weekend Mane's spokesperson attempted to explain the ink, saying it's "a reminder to fans of how he chooses to live his life.  Cool as ice.  As in 'I'm so icy, I'll make ya say Brr.'"  A word of warning: things didn't turn out so well for the last rapper who dubbed himself "Cool as Ice"...

Today Irish rockers The Script, who have opened up for U2 and Paul McCartney, release their new album, "Science & Faith."  The video for the first single, "For the First Time," stars Bono's daughter, Eve Hewson.  And on DVD, you can pick up "Takers," a crime thriller whose all-star cast includes T.I. and Chris Brown.
